President’s Message Thank you for visiting the D.R.E.A.M website. Delta Resource Educational Association Mobile, Inc. received its 501 (c) (3) status in 2009. A sister organization, Mobile Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has been serving the Greater Mobile area for 78 years. Emphasis is placed on the arts, physical and mental well-being, political awareness and involvement, education, financial literacy and stability. DREAM works collaboratively with Mobile Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc and other organizations with similar mission statements.
DREAM’s mission is to provide financial resources and in-kind support for impactful programs of Mobile Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc for the Greater Mobile areas specifically at risk communities. Our goal is to increase our visibility and recognition of sponsoring programs with desired results and a voice in the Greater Mobile area.
Working with our sister organization, we support Relay for Life, HIV/AIDS Walk, provide scholarships for high school seniors, and provide programs for middle and high school children. Additionally, we sponsor home buying seminars and other programs promoting financial well-being and stability. The supported programs are designed to improve like of residents in Greater Mobile Community.
In 2012 DREAM purchased property located at 2056 Dr. MLK Jr. AV, Mobile, AL 36617. This location is known as the Community Life Development Center (CLDC.) Most of the community programs are held in the CLDC. The facility also serves as the meeting place for the DREAM Foundation board meetings and Mobile Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. meetings.
